CT State Community College Housatonic is excited to showcase current faculty and staff artists in the annual art exhibition in the Burt Chernow Galleries at the Housatonic Museum of Art. This exhibition will highlight the creative and conceptual talents of our CT State Housatonic employees. This year our theme is Inertia: The Persistence of Form and Motion.

Inertia, a concept rooted in physics, describes the tendency of objects to resist changes in their state, maintaining either rest or uniform motion until acted upon by an external force. This principle resonates across disciplines, illuminating how forms, patterns, and ideas hold their shape—or resist transformation—over time.

Curated by Nathaniel Garcia and John Favret.
