Jennifer Reynolds-Kaye chats with Melissa in the Morning about the exhibition, The Making of an Icon: Walter Iooss and Sports Photography
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Director of the Housatonic Museum of Art, Dr. Jennifer Reynolds-Kaye, was featured on the WICC 600 program, Melissa in the Morning. During the conversation, Dr. Reynolds-Kaye highlighted the HMA’s upcoming exhibition, "The Making of an Icon: Walter Iooss and Sports Photography" opening Wednesday, March 6th from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
This exhibition showcases a selection of artworks by the famed American photographer, Walter Iooss, and is organized into thematic sections that explore the various ways that photographs capture heroic moments, contribute to legendary myths of greatness, and tell authentic stories of athletic struggle and uplift. She also spoke about the importance of community college art museums and the value of seeing art in person.
