Did you know that Bridgeport was once called Little Liberia?

Learn about this seafaring community of free people of color established in the 1800s. From a luxurious resort hotel for wealthy Blacks to the city’s first free lending library, Little Liberia was a prosperous and thriving community.

Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served
